Homework Club

We are pleased to announce that we will be offering a Lower School Homework Club beginning on Monday, September 10! The LS Homework Club will provide K-5 students support with homework completion. It will be offered Monday through Thursday from 3.45-4.30pm in Room 103. If your child will be attending Homework Club, pre-registration is not necessary, as it will be run on a drop-in basis. Parents should pick up their child at or before 4.30pm if they are attending Homework Club. At 4:35pm, any students that are not picked up will be sent to Scholar Zone, our after-school child care program and will be billed accordingly. If your child will be attending Scholar Zone after Homework Club, they will need to be pre-registered. Registration, as well as fee information for Scholar Zone, can be found on the Nova website, under “Current Families” and then “Before and After-School Care”. Please let Mrs. Tousignant know if you have questions about Homework Club. Mrs. Reinhardt can be contacted for any questions relating to Scholar Zone.

A message from Nova’s new band teacher

My name is Averyel Bachelani, and I will be teaching band this year at Nova, along with Gideon Matchey. We are very excited to have the opportunity to work with the students and families of Nova Classical Academy!
This year, band days will be Monday and Wednesday, with 30 minute large group ensemble rehearsals before school, and 30 minute group lessons (for 4th through 8th grade) during school. There is no prior experience needed for band, and we take beginners at any grade, beginning at 4th.
During the year, the band will have two performances at Nova, one in the winter, and one in the spring. In addition, our program provides students with several additional performance opportunities. One of our biggest events in the winter is a concert at the Mall of America during their December concert series.
We will be having an informational meeting for parents this Wednesday, September 5th at 4PM. Whether your student is interested in starting to learn an instrument, if they were in band and will be continuing, or if you would simply like more information, we’d love to see you at the meeting!
